Just Pics

I uploaded these pics a couple weeks ago with the intention of posting, but someone probably woke up and called me back to work!

Will watching it snow:

Fun at the park. We LOVE the park these days!

Playing in the fountains at Market Street. Yes this was sometime in February, don't judge me for letting my child run around soaking wet, it was a warm day :)

He had a ball

He crawled uner the chair & into the corner to get this ball, so sweet

My walker!

January!

Is it too late to make a New Year's Resolution? Maybe mine will be at least one post a month!

This month we went to Drew's 1st birthday party. Drew's mama Holly, Riley's mama Mandy & I were all pregnant at the same time last year, it's always fun to get the end results together! This is the best picture I got of the three of them together. Riley, Drew & Will:

Birthday boy Drew & Will, everything is better with snacks:

Riley & Will - LOVE the party hats!

It's official, we have a walker. I thought I was going to be sad about him walking, you know, he's not a baby anymore, etc. But it is so stinkin' cute! I just love seeing him toddle around or come around the corner looking for me.

He's never far from Pede's side
More malt please daddy, this straw is empty:

Playing around the farm:

Will is still trying to decide if he going to play the guitar or drums. Here he is practicing with Daddy, note the drumstick. That thing is dangerous & has been put away for a bit :)

Going for a fun wheel barrow ride with cousins Cole & Tucker when they were visiting the Woods. Who knew it would be so fun!

Grandmomma came out to spend some time with Will while I enjoyed a few hours of pampering that Michael gave me for Christmas. It was a very nice break :)

Will has some cabinets in the kitchen that are unlocked for him to play in, they are filled with plastic stuff. He found these water bottle tops this morning & I must say I'm impressed with his creativity. A makeshift paci & a spare one!

Will's 1st Christmas

Boy was it a memorable one! The fun began the Tuesday before Christmas, Michael woke up with what he called a stomach bug, but I refer to as Bambi's Revenge for eating deer sausage :) That same morning when I got Will out of his crib, he felt a little warm. I dismissed it as he was probably sleeping on that cheek & that is why it felt warm. Well when he didn't eat up all his breakfast like he normally does I decided to take his temp - 101 degrees. Oh my! So I give him some Tylenol & call the pediatrician, remember Christmas is coming. Well the fever goes up throughout the day & Will is getting fussier & fussier & my husband is in bed sick.

During times like these, it's really nice to have a brother who is a doctor. He talked to me much longer & more often than the pediatrician would! We make it through Tuesday, I'm hoping Will will get a good nights sleep & wake up back to himself. We made it until 11:00 PM. I took his temp again when he woke up crying - 104.6 - WHAT!! I panic, everyone in the house is up and we're off to the Emergency Room. The St. Luke's ER on Kuykendahl is great! After I got a brief talking to by the ER doctor, something about how I needed to calm down & that my son is going to be fine. We were sent home with a baby with a minor ear infection, bronchiolitis and only 100.4 temp. Motrin works wonders. Christmas morning I got the best gift, the fever was finally gone. My poor sick baby:

As if Will's first sickness wasn't excitement enough there was yet another incident, a dog bite. That's right. Will likes to hold food over the edge of his highchair. Well Pede couldn't handle it anymore & reached up to snatch it out of Will's hand. I must say that I do not allow him to hold food over the edge, I'm always pulling his hands back on the tray. Anyone who has children knows these things happen in a split second. It was awful. I thought we were about to go back to the ER if the bleeding didn't stop. Needless to say, Pede spent quite a bit of time outside that day :)
And finally some Christmas fun! Santa came!

Aren't these the cutest jammies?

This is what Will prefers to do with his Christmas gifts :)

Who likes waiting?

Not me! I ordered this chair for Will for Christmas. It came in last week & we had a big time playing with the box for a few days. Then I decided there was no way I could wait until Christmas. Maybe this is why I'm a last minute Christmas shopper...

He loves it, but he's already flipped out it face first...oops!

Fall Fun

Here are a few pics from the fun days of Fall!

Crawling in the grass at the pumpkin patch, he's not afraid of it anymore!

I have a ton on pictures like this, I think it's so cute watching both of them look out the window waiting for Michael to get home :)

Cutest porcupine & giraffe at the pumpkin patch:

Will's first pumpkin carving - it has two bottom teeth, just like him!

Happy Halloween!

Just a random picture. He had the best time playing with a box of wipes -forget toys, give me boxes!

Lost Pines...Found!

This past week we took our first family vacation. We spent a few days at the Hyatt Lost Pines & had a great time! Will did really well in the car - it wasn't too long of a drive, but still I was wondering how much he would "talk"! And he did well sleeping in his pack & play - whew!

This was such a neat place, the grounds were beautiful. Lots of huge old pecan trees. I looked & looked for the lost pines, but couldn't find them. They were down the road I bit...hmmm. We spent lots of time exploring!

The water was a bit cold, some might say cold as ice, so the lazy river wasn't all the fun I'd hoped for. But the nightly campfire where you can roast marshmallows & make s'mores totally made up for the cold water! We were there every night, poor Will didn't even know what he was missing out on :)

Trying out the grass - he was none too interested. Maybe he got something from me after all!

He advanced to this:

Enjoying an 'old crooked daiquiri' to warm up after floating the crooked river:

Happy boy enjoying one of our many walks:

Will thought it was hilarious to watch Michael play basketball. I was pretty proud of this picture, I happened to catch one of the few that made it in!

Laughing up a storm!

One of my favorites of Will

Neat-o trees, sorry it's turned the wrong way, but you get the idea!

This is the last of the gummy grin pics, since his two bottom teeth decided to make their debut last week. That made for an interesting few days. How many teeth does a person have in their mouth??

He's really good at scratching on apples with his new teeth :)

Happy Will at the pool. We're sad that pool season is almost over, we have had so much fun going each week with Mandy and Riley!

Here are a few pictures from Will's first dinner outing sitting in a highchair.

"I want some of that"
"Hmm, I don't think I like the taste of that"

And finally, Happy Birthday Daddy!

I started this post a week ago while Will was napping one afternoon & I'm just now getting back to post it after who knows how many pampers, a ton of wipes, a trip to the doctor & way less baby food :) I'll leave it at that...we're on the mend thank goodness!
